Lazy Eye in Teenagers
Have you heard about lazy eye syndrome or, medically speaking, amblyopia? It occurs when your eyes fail to work together because one of them is weaker. The other has to do more to make up for the affected eye.
Interestingly, what can cause the lazy eye syndrome is a type of haircut so popular among teenagers, including such a girls' idol as Justin Bieber. Bieber Eye? Doesn't sound serious, but please watch the attached video. You can have a good laugh with them, but that's what doctors confirmed. The long hair disturbs the vision of one eye and makes it less active, in consequence, it becomes lazy. Your hair can be dangerous.
However, even more interestingly, experts claim that the disorder can be treated or cured in some children and teenagers (read in daily mail). How? By playing compuer games. How come, you're likely to ask. Well, here comes the explanation. While, for instance, shooting at objects you force both eyes to move and be active. The way I understand it, they do a kind of exercise. Together with a proper treatment, a young person can improve their vision by playing games for an hour every day. I'm sure you like the idea.. ;-)
Or, you'd better change your hairstyle? (it's a pity, though; I like guys wearing a bit longer hair.. :-)
